With consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, the Association is contributing to a stable and sustainable global development of the road and transport sector.

Efforts in Mexico to Implement a Road Safety Audit System

Currently, road accidents are considered as a public health issue worldwide due to the high number of deaths and injuries. To face this situation, various tools have been implemented, including Road Safety Audits (RSA, hereafter), which have around three decades of successful implementation in some countries. However, in Mexico and in Latin America in general, it has not been possible to establish them officially.
